Hey, it's Katrina here today on the blog. We all love our pattern paper, but I wanted to challenge myself with an entire layout made with cardstock. I did allow for embossing to add dimension and texture, but no pattern paper at all!
I used 7 different colors of the ColorMates Smooth Cardstock, Kraft and then Treasures in the black.
I used my Silhouette to cut out shapes from my Kraft paper. I backed the Kraft with Light Totally Tan. I loved the subtle color against the Kraft.
I embossed a square of each color to back the corners with. Using two of the petals in Kraft, I embossed them with the same folder as the color I used them with. As you can see, both the ColorMates and the Kraft embossed perfectly!
I added flair buttons to the middle of the flowers to create a center. Plus they give the layout a fun look. You could also use brads or buttons for this.
The Kraft petals are popped up for some added dimension for the layout. I love how crisp the embossing is.
So, pull out that cardstock and challenge yourself to an all cardstock layout. You might just fall in love with it!
Thanks for stopping by today! Go out and get some WorldWin Paper, you will love it!
