New KROMEKOTE Papers!!!
I have a card to share with you today using a brand new paper. It's called Kromekote, and you are going to love it! It is a heavy weight cardstock, in shiny gorgeous colors. It's embossed and die cuts beautifully!!! The range of colors is amazing as well!!! I wanted to do a Halloween card, since that's getting close!!!
I used three colors on this card, The orange of course. And I used an Anna Griffin embossing folder for it. Shows the pattern beautifully! And the black background, look at the "snakeskin" looking texture to that one!!! The silver strip is embossed as well!!!!
I can't wait to play with more of these papers! I'm sure the design team will have some more gorgeous projects to share with you!!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Chalkboard Bookmarks
Hello! Gloria with you again. I have created a pile of bookmarks, perfect to give as little back-to-school gifts. The chalkboard stamping technique is so popular right now, that I decided to incorporate it into my little bookmark making party!
I went through my stash of stamps looking for interesting text combinations that also would work well for bookmark sentiments. Then I sorted through my die cut templates to find shapes that would work for bookmarks. I actually had a few bookmark templates, but I also pulled out other shapes that seemed to work well for this project.
I cut all of the shapes from ColorMates Heritage Black cardstock. The smooth finish on the Heritage Black is perfect for my "mini chalkboards." I stamped all the sentiments with white ink, and I embossed each sentiment with white embossing powder. I was a little "messy" with my powder to give that chalkboard look.
I used some white pigment ink to rub the edges of each die cut shape. I also smudged the paper a bit, all for that realistic chalkboard look.
I die cut some background shapes from Treasures Pitch Black and Textured Red Denim cardstock, and used a tiny bit of printed cardstock. This a good way to use up scraps of cardstock! I traced some lines around the edges of the shape with a white pen.
I created this flag-shaped bookmark so that it would slip over the top of the page. The paper button and twine don't add much bulk, making the bookmark the perfect thickness.
These three bookmarks are super simple. I used just a bit of ribbon and some paper scraps to finish them. To make the bookmarks a bit more sturdy, I die cut some of the shapes a second time and glued the two together.
This is one of those projects you can do in bulk in an evening.
Thanks for looking!

Make-n-Take Tag Tutorial
Hello! Gloria with you today! I was asked by WorldWin Papers to create a little make-n-take for their CHA booth and for an event they were attending after summer CHA.
I created this flower tag with die cut shapes and WorldWin cardstock. I wanted to give the students a "hot" summer-time project! I used some of the great yellows and golds in the WorldWin line-up! To print the tutorial for this project, click HERE.
I also wanted to show how you could "step up" this design, so I created a few more tags!
This one is the same size, but I made a rolled rose rather than a "flat" flower. I simply cut the cardstock with Spellbinders Rose Creations and Bitty Blossoms dies.
This one is a larger tag with more roses.
I love the layering of ink and paper. The embossing is fantastic.
Here are a few photos of the booth.

Save the Date
WorldWin Petallics and Elan Metallic papers are perfect for creating elegant projects for any occasion. Today, I combined these papers as well as ColorMates and Translucent Vellum to create a Save the Date magnet card.
Use the largest die from the Coved Rectangle Stackers to cut the Elan Gold base. Cut the Heart Coved Rectangle Doily Stacker, from the Autumn Hay, to cut the next layer. Add to the base and machine stitch around the edge for decorative purposes. Die cut the fanciful flourish (Dark Spring Green) and flowers (Coral Pink) and place on the base as shown. Die cut the letters (Heritage Black) and arrange the letters over the flourish. Die cut the smallest Heart Coved Rectangle, and add the date. Adhere to the top of the card with foam adhesives. Die cut the corset from the gold, and the matching lace embellishments from the cream. Assemble as shown and add pearls for the buttons. Die cut the mega doily (Translucent Vellum) and cut in half. Accordion pleat the doily and attach to the back of the corset using Double Sided Tape. Apply to the bottom right corner of the card with foam dots. Add a strip of Magnet tape to the back. Finish with a lace bow.

Make a Wish with Elan Metallics!
I love the shimmer of the Elan Metallics!
The pretty, metallic cardstock and the embossing to really stand out on this card. I used nested die set to cut an opening for my sentiment.
I embossed a second piece of the metallic cardstock and cut the nested roses from it. I then, sprayed the cardstock lightly with water and crumpled each flower. Once they were dry, I inked each rose shape and created a "crumpled" flower for my card.
To make my window more dimensional, I attached the embossed cardstock to the card front with foam tape.
Thanks for looking!

Steampunk Birthday
This project was shown on the Hampton Art Blog on Tuesday, but I wanted to share this with everyone here as well....because I used all WorldWin Papers! The beauty of being on several teams, is that sometimes my "toys" can play together! Nothing is more fun than cardstock, embossing folders, and stamps!
To create the stamped and embossed panel on the front of this card you only need an embossing folder, a few stamps, and some ink. What could be easier? Notice...zero printed paper! I used all fabulous WorldWin Papers cardstock!
I used several metallic inks to add color directly to the stamp by tapping the surface of the stamp with the ink pads. I don't worry too much about my ink pads getting messy or mixing the ink. It's just ink... I stamped the dress form image onto kraft cardstock. I love this WorldWin kraft.
Make sure you allow the ink to dry and then emboss the kraft cardstock with an embossing folder. I did stamp the image BEFORE I embossed the paper because I wanted to have the stamped image "behind" the raised embossing. Rub the raised surfaces with brown chalk ink.
The very cool Couture Creations folder, is called Uber. There are several folders on the market with gears or clocks or other "steampunky" images. This is a new one to my collection. I think the WorldWin cardstock embosses so nicely!
I then used metallic inks to stamp the gear images onto the cardstock. I overlapped the raised embossing and the main stamped image. I trimmed the panel to size and used it to create a card.
I used other stamps to decorate the inside of the card to match. Hope you had some steampunk fun here today!
